Alaina Carter, CHES
Alaina is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and received her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Public Health with a concentration in Community Health.
She brings to the team a passion for working with youth and prior experience in the area of Adolescent health education, centered around pregnancy prevention and nutrition health and wellness. She has also worked extensively with pregnant and parenting teens in Guilford county, working to reduce secondary pregnancies and increase maternal and paternal overall health.
Alaina joined the Poe Center team on December 2014 as a Health Educator, primarily working with the Nutrition programs.
Originally a Florida native, Alaina is proud to call North Carolina home. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and trying new cuisines, as well as traveling and spending time with friends and family.
