Blythe Ulrich, MA, CHES, TTS
Blythe joined the Poe Center team in July 2014. She teaches Substance Abuse Prevention Education, Family Life Education, and Nutrition Education both at the Poe Center and out in the community.
Blythe is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and a Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS). She earned her BA in International Studies and Political Science from UNC Greensboro and her MA in Health Education from East Carolina University. She recently completed East Carolina’s graduate certificate program in Substance Abuse Counseling and is working toward becoming a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant (CSAPC).
Blythe has worked in many areas of health education throughout her career including reproductive/sexual health, substance abuse prevention/treatment, tobacco prevention/treatment, nutrition, and physical activity. She loves to expand her knowledge base by being a student and participating in continuing education workshops.
Outside of work Blythe enjoys figure skating, sewing, yoga, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Originally from New Jersey, Blythe now lives in Raleigh with her husband Zac, and their two pups Casper and Lucy.
