Cammie Bates, MPhys, LAT, ATC
Physical Activity and Nutrition Health Educator
Cammie joined the Poe Center in July of 2016 after completing her Master of Physiology and Certification in Family Life Education and Coaching at North Carolina State University. She works as the Physical Activity and Nutrition Health Educator at Poe but enjoys teaching in all subject areas. She received her BA in Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012.
Cammie worked as a Licensed and Certified Athletic Trainer at a physical therapy clinic for 2 years before returning to school for her Masters. She has worked with a variety of individuals, especially athletes, in health education and injury prevention and looks to continue building her knowledge of community health and wellness while at Poe.
In her free time, Cammie enjoys traveling, organizing, cooking, and exercising – especially weight lifting.
