Robin Pittman, MS, CHES
Health Educator

Robin Pittman is a Certified Health Education Specialist. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Public Health Education with a Minor in Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After completing that, she then went on to obtain her Masters of Science degree in Health Education.

Robin joined the staff of the Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education in October 2010 as a Health Educator. Robin has a passion for educating the youth of North Carolina and enjoys what she does very much. She loves teaching in all theater areas with all different ages of children.

Before coming to the Poe Center, Robin worked at the Durham County Health Department for 5 years as a Health Educator. She worked with kids of various ages covering a variety of health topics. Her main focus was reducing teenage pregnancy in Durham County. She also helped create a new Lead Education and Awareness Program in Durham County called LEAP. She conducted lead screenings in children and pregnant women and worked with families whose children had levels of elevated lead. Robin was an active member of North Carolina Chapter Society for Public Health Education (NCSOPHE) for four years and served as the Newsletter chair for a year.

Robin is a native to North Carolina. She currently resides in Apex with her husband Alexander and their two children, Sullivan and Avana. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family (especially to Walt Disney World), playing tennis, cooking and trying new foods.
