Anna-Kristian Howell - Health Educator

After graduating from high school in North Carolina, Anna-Kristian moved north to Philadelphia, PA. During her time there, Anna-Kristian graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Public Health from Temple University. Over the next six years she worked and interned in many settings of public health. Anna-Kristian spent time teaching health and safety at a Childrens Hospital, teaching and directing an after-school program for children and teaching SIDS & sleep safety to expectant mothers. She also worked with an organization to offer food & supplies to those in need and offered counseling and guidance to those struggling with addiction.

Anna-Kristian moved back to NC in early 2010 and joined the staff of the Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education in October 2010 as a Health Educator.

Anna-Kristian is currently residing in Cary with her husband Chris who is working on his Bachelors in Nursing. When she is not working at the Poe Center Anna-Kristian works for a wealth management/insurance company. Her favorite things to do in her free time are playing with her ever growing number of nieces and nephews, vacationing and volunteering.
