Caitlin Schryver - Health Educator

After spending a year as a regular Poe volunteer and summer intern, Caitlin joined the Poe team as an Occasional Health Educator, concentrating in the area of Nutrition and Physical Activity. Caitlin will finish her undergraduate degree in May 2012 and desires to become a Registered Dietitian. She has also written her honors thesis on The effect of nutrition intervention on snack choice in middle school students participating in after-school programs. While interning at the Poe Center, Caitlin initiated the community garden in the PlayWELL Park, as well as participated in the MyPlate training for staff. It is her ambition at the Poe Center to use nutrition education to help kids make healthy choices for a lifetime.

In her free time, Caitlin loves to bake and spend time with her husband and puppy, Molly. She serves as a ministry leader in her church and loves to seek opportunities to help others.
