General Health
The general health theater features TAM, the transparent anatomical manikin, who will assist students in their many adventures through the human body.
My Body, My Buddy
Grade Level: Preschool | Program Length: 30 minutes
Young children identify eating healthy foods, being physically active and sleeping as ways to take care of their bodies. TAM and Organ Annie emphasize the importance of taking good care of the body while highlighting our key organs.
Summertime Safety
Grade Level: Kindergarten - 2nd | Program Length: 45 minutes
Safety tips for summertime is the theme for this program. Children learn how to stay safe and healthy in the sun while still having fun. Sun protection, water safety and poison ivy are a few of the topics to be discussed.
Safe Fun in the Hot Sun
Grade Level: 3rd - 5th | Program Length: 45 minutes
Safe summer fun is the focus of this program. Children learn about protection from the sun, signs of overheating and dehydration, safe summertime exercise and nutrition, poisonous plants, bug bites and more. Be active, stay safe, and keep the fun in summer!
Nutrition & Physical Activity
The nutrition theater hosts an interactive exer-cycle, the Poe Cafeteria and much more to ensure that students learn about good nutrition and active lifestyles.
Fitness is Fun
Grade Level: Kindergarten - 2nd/Ages 5-7 | Program Length: 45 minutes
The emphasis is on fun as participants learn about the activity pyramid and why being active is so important. An interactive game teaches kids how to pack a tasty yet nutritious lunch.
Menus, Muscles and More
Grade Level: 3rd - 5th | Program Length: 45 minutes
Participants review Food Guide Pyramids and participate in a practical restaurant activity that addresses hidden sources of fat. They also ride the exer-cycle as a practical application of the calories -in versus calories- out formula.
Dental Health
Allowing students to explore the importance of oral hygiene, Mr. Big Mouth and his JUMBO set of teeth are the main attraction in the Dental Health Theater.
Sheriff Tuffy Tooth
Grade Level: Preschool & Kindergarten | Program Length: 30 minutes
Sheriff Tuffy Tooth really speaks to kids about the importance of tooth brushing, eating healthy foods and visiting the dentist. Invite the Sheriff, an animated, talking tooth and his deputy, "Bucky the Horse," to visit your school or group for a one-of-a-kind experience!
Teeth are Goofy
Grade Level: Kindergarten-2nd/Ages 5-7 | Program Length: 45 minutes
The Disney character Goofy® helps children understand the importance of good oral hygiene. Participants play the "Teeth are Goofy" game, which teaches good oral hygiene.
Drug Prevention Education
By taking a close look at drug and alcohol use and abuse, in addition to tobacco usage and media violence, students will gain valuable insights and tools to help make healthy lifestyle choices.
It's Up 2 U!
Grade Level: 3rd - 5th | Program Length: 45 minutes
Students learn about the "Gateway Drugs" and their effects on the body in a fun and engaging session. Interactive activities and a short movie illustrate key concepts as well as alternatives to drug use and abuse. This important information will help keep children on the right track!
