Recently updated and enhanced in 2012, the Poe Center’s DRUGS UNCOVERED explores the teenage drug, alcohol and tobacco culture of today. The two hour workshop combines a lecture-style format with an interactive, traveling exhibit.  At approximately 20’ X 20’, the Poe Center’s “Teenager of Today’s Bedroom” holds over 70 references to substances that include elements of pop culture and common and not-so-common hiding places for drugs, alcohol and tobacco.

Participants will learn about trends in substance abuse and ways to communicate effectively with children and teens about these issues. All attendees will also receive free materials, including resources to educate young people about being drug-free and alcohol-free.
