Because gardens engage students by providing a dynamic environment to observe, discover, experiment, nurture and learn, we have compiled this site to help you establish a new or enhance an existing garden (School & Community Garden Resources).

The Poe Center for Health Education is a part of the SNAP-Ed Connection, grant funded by USDA, to help improve the nutrition of North Carolina citizens. The interactive Poe and Grow Garden is designed with you, your school and community in mind. As you roll over the elements of our garden, you will learn helpful facts and be guided to valuable resources. As the tree changes with the seasons, many components of the garden will also change to reflect what to expect in the garden during each season.
