Dana grew up in the Philadelphia area.  She attended Penn State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Administration, and West Chester University where she received her M.B.A. in Leadership. Dana has worked in the health and wellness industry for over 26 years.  She has spent these years presenting health policy, education and promotion programs in health care facilities, school, community, and faith-based settings. She joined the Poe team in 2010. At Poe she delivers health education programs, hires, trains and oversees health educators, monitors Policy, System and Environmental changes, Snap-ed county work, and injury prevention programs among many other varied projects! She loves the creativity and variety that the Poe Center provides!

Dana has been married for 25 years to her husband Bill. Together they have 4 fun and adventurous children and two dogs. When not at the Poe Center Dana can be found spending time with her family, trying new recipes, reading, exercising, or being outside and involved in the community.

Dana is passionate about health education and promotion including illness and injury prevention. She is enthusiastic about working at the Poe Center! She loves being able to contribute to the Poe Center’s mission to educate and empower North Carolina children, youth, and families to make choices that increase positive health behaviors. She shares the Poe Center’s vision that all North Carolina children and youth become healthy adults.
