Health Educator

Jodi is thrilled to become a health educator with the Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education! Jodi is a permanent resident of Greensboro, NC where she and her husband are parents to a fabulous ten year old. She has a background in professional theatre and holds both, a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, as well as a Masters in Public Health from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

During her years as an undergrad, Jodi specialized in biological anthropology, where she focused on the health and diet of ancient populations. Since then, Jodi has turned her attention to “the living” through community outreach, advocacy, and program development in the realm of public health education. Jodi has over four years of experience as the Children’s Curriculum Coordinator on a USDA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Education Program. Jodi specializes in creative education techniques for elementary aged children, such as educational theatre and interactive classes. Jodi wishes to bring the resources for “healthy, active, happy days for all!”
