Kathleen Armstrong received a Master of Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University in the Spring of 2020, after teaching high school art both in North Carolina and abroad.
Her passion for the environment was fostered during her childhood family trips to the mountains and later her time at Appalachian State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Art Education and Agroecology. Her work is focused at the intersection of pedagogy and place-making, using the environment as a tool to create healthier, more resilient communities. Kathleen loves using edible landscapes to connect young people with their immediate ecology.
Beyond work, Kathleen enjoys yoga, swimming, hanging with her cat, and cooking fun meals with friends!
