Latoya is the mother of a teenage daughter and a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. Latoya received her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Education from North Carolina Central University in Durham, N.C. Her experience includes working with the 4H youth development program where she assisted with facilitating sexual health education groups for high-risk youth, promoting healthy sexual wellness.

Latoya had the opportunity to work with the Family Resource Center South Atlantic/Health Information Center to serve as a resource for families and children with special healthcare needs. She also implemented bullying prevention programs for teens and assisted with support groups.

Working with youth and families in different communities is Latoya’s passion. She brings creativity and innovative skills to The Poe Center and is excited to join the team.

In her free time, Latoya enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
