Naomi Matley

Naomi Matley, M.S, CPT
Health Educator

Naomi moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in June 2019 after completing her Master’s of Health Education and Promotion and Higher Education Leadership from the University of Cincinnati as the Fitness and Wellness graduate assistant. Naomi received her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and Psychology from Wingate University, where she played collegiate soccer for four years.

Naomi currently serves as the full-time Fitness Coordinator at North Carolina State University Wellness and Recreation, where she oversees the Personal Training, Exercise is Medicine Program, and teaches an academic personal training course.

Most recently, Matley went to Brazil for a 10-day coaching exchange through the Women Win International Sports Programming Initiative(ISPI) where she worked with other coaches to strategize how to make positive change, only twelve coaches around the United States were offered to attend this exchange. Naomi has worked in cardiac rehabilitation, Olympic weightlifting, athletics, youth soccer, and is currently taking part in the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Young Leaders Sprint Program. She enjoys playing ice hockey with her three brothers and is passionate about teaching students.
