Remington (Remi) Ham manages the GrowWELL garden programming at the Poe Center. She holds a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban and Environmental Planning. While in graduate school, her thesis research focused on incorporating edible landscapes into K-12 curriculum and designing learning landscapes for children.

Following graduate school, Remi relocated to Boston, MA where she worked as an assistant project manager with Harvard University’s Planning and Project Management department and was a researcher with MIT’s Sidewalk Laboratory. Both in Boston and North Carolina, Remi has designed a number of edible teaching gardens, ranging from rooftop gardens to elementary school gardens.

Through our GrowWELL garden program, Remi partners with a number of preschools – providing design assistance as well as technical garden support. Additionally, she
serves as a consultant to our BeWELL schools, and provides support to the Wake County Public Schools Garden Team.
