Tracy Weidert
Garden Health Educator

Tracy grew up in Maryland spending most of her childhood playing in the woods behind her house.  After earning a degree in Biology from the University of Delaware, Tracy served in the Student Conservation Association as a forestry technician at the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge. In 2012, Tracy graduated from UNC Wilmington with a master in Environmental Studies, emphasis in environmental management. Following graduate school, Tracy worked for a nonprofit focused on promoting sustainable aquaculture in the Chesapeake Bay area. Since making her way to the triangle area, Tracy has kept busy working for the state Department of Environmental Quality and volunteering with local community gardens.

Tracy loves spending time outdoors and is thrilled to be joining the Poe Center as their new Garden Health Educator.
