Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates: Field Trips, Events, Visitors, etc.

Updated: May 19, 2020

Statement from Ann Rollins,
Executive Director:

“The Poe Center continues to consistently evaluate our practices and procedures to ensure we are following the latest prescribed state protocols to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and protect our program participants, visitors, and staff.   We have outlined our current procedures below and will continuously update them as needed.

Even though our doors are closed, the Poe Center is still very much active and here to help. We are now offering online programs. We can promise you the same great content, the same enthusiastic staff, and engaging activities – all from the safety and comfort of students’ homes.  Visit our online programs webpage for details.

Additionally, Poe’s online resources for teachers, youth, and adults continue to grow daily. We’ve added new activities, new videos, and other great content. Please share them widely.

When our community is healthy and safe again, we look forward to seeing you at the Poe Center soon. Until then, we hope you take advantage of these unique online programs and resources to help keep North Carolina healthy.

Thank you for your continued support.” – Ann Rollins
