Contact Virginia Johnson at v.johnson@poehealth.org. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1 in 5 high school students currently use a vape product – that’s about 6 in every classroom (North Carolina Youth Risk Behavior Survey\, 2023). Youth tobacco use continues to be a health crisis.  \n\n\n\nThe purpose of the Forum is to move the needle and make a healthy difference in the lives of Wake County residents. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDownload Flyer\n\n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets on Eventbrite\n\nRegister Here\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us as we:\n\n\n\n\nHear from Wake County youth.\n\n\n\nHear from leading experts on the current trends and health impacts of the vaping epidemic.\n\n\n\nDiscuss current and future policies that facilitate tobacco-free environments.\n\n\n\nCreate action plans for healthier schools and communities.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHosted at the Wake County Commons Building\, this youth-led forum will feature a review of current trends and a discussion of action steps that youth\, parents and community leaders can take to support tobacco-free and nicotine-free environments. \n\n\n\nThe forum will provide opportunities for youth\, parents\, and community members to hear about and participate in conversations about strategies that reduce youth tobacco use and to empower communities in the solution.
