This is part 2 of a Community Series on Substance Use in Our Communities hosted by Cardinal Innovations.

This program is presented by
The Poe Center for Health Education with sponsorship from NCMSA, in partnership with Cardinal Innovations Healthcare

The Poe Center’s DRUGS UNCOVERED explores the teenage alcohol, tobacco, and other drug culture of today. The two hour workshop combines a lecture-style format with an interactive, traveling exhibit. At approximately 20’ X 20’, the Poe Center’s “Teenager of Today’s Bedroom” holds over 70 references to substances that include elements of pop culture and common and not-so-common hiding places for alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

Participants will learn about trends in substance use and ways to communicate effectively with children and teens about these issues. All attendees will also receive free materials, including resources to educate young people about being drug-free and alcohol-free.

Parents and adults who work with elementary, middle and high school students are strongly encouraged to participate! This program is for ADULTS ONLY!
