Girl Talk 2: Mother/Trusted Adult & Daughter Workshop – In Person Session

Join us IN PERSON for the Poe Center’s popular Girl Talk 2 workshop.

Girl Talk 2 for 6th-8th graders is a unique workshop designed for middle school aged girls and their parents. This interactive, two-hour workshop discusses the growth and development girls experience during puberty, the structure and function of the male and female reproductive systems, the menstrual cycle, fertilization, and conception. Internet safety, peer pressure, abstinence, and sexually transmitted diseases are also introduced. The program has been designed with activities that facilitate and encourage open parent-child communication. *Girl Talk is a recommended prerequisite for Girl Talk 2*

This program is for girls AND their caregivers. Girls should not register individually.

Registration is $30.00 per mother/trusted adult & daughter.
Additional participants are $12.00 each.
The workshop is best suited for girls in 6th – 8th grades.
