Opioid Epidemic Uncovered: Finding the Prescription for Recovery - Poe Center Annual Meeting and Luncheon Conferences

The Poe Center for Health Education and the NC Medical Society Alliance will host a luncheon conference in Raleigh on September 14 and in Greensboro on September 15 to examine the opioid crisis and explore collaborative solutions.

Keynote: The luncheons will feature former LA Times reporter and national speaker, Sam Quinones, author of the acclaimed book, Dreamland: the True Tale of America’s Opiate Epidemic.

The Poe Center has copies of Dreamland: The True Tale of America’s Opiate Epidemic available for purchase for $20 per book. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to have their books signed by Sam Quinones.

Panel: A panel of local experts will discuss the impact of opioids in their communities and the opportunities for change.

Annual Meeting (Raleigh location only): The Poe Center will recognize incoming and outgoing Board Members and honor community members who contribute to children’s health and education in North Carolina.

VIP Event: Meet author Sam Quinones and network with business and community members invested in health and wellbeing. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.
