at the Poe Center

You will want to show up a few minutes early because Jim Martin, Director of Policy and Programs with the NC Department of Health and Human Services, Tobacco Prevention and Control Branch will be providing the latest information on tobacco products along with the latest research findings and more.

At 5:30, we will shift to informing media product development including selecting music tracks for a soon-to-be-released video and field-testing a BuzzFeed Quiz for RTI International.

Poe’s Teen Health Advisory Council is an engaged group of young people who are serious about advocating for good health in their community and can inform Poe programming and community policy makers. The Council is comprised of a diverse group of teen health peer educators, advocates and representatives. Youth and adult leaders keep abreast of current health issues and emerging trends in Wake County.
