Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

This training has been canceled.

Poe is hosting an important Youth Mental Health First Aid Training following our Annual Meeting. This training is an important action step.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is a program that teaches individuals the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health challenges in adolescents and builds an understanding of the importance of early intervention. It reviews typical adolescent development and teaches a 5-step action plan to help youth in both crisis and non-crisis situations. It uses role-playing, simulations, and other skills to learn how to assess a mental health crisis, select interventions and provide initial help along with connecting young people to professional, peer, social and self-help care. Certificate will be provided at the end of the training session. Join us!
