Language, Stigma and Advocacy: Looking Beyond the Opioid Epidemic – Poe Center Annual Meeting and Luncheon Conferences



The Poe Center for Health Education will host an onsite Youth Mental Health First Aid Training. Register for the training here.
Wake AHEC CEU(s): Wake AHEC will provide 0.8 CEU to participants upon completion of this activity. A participant must attend 100% of the program to receive credit. Partial Credit will not be awarded.
Contact Hours: Wake AHEC will provide up to 8.0 Contact Hours to participants.
The training will be followed by a VIP reception and CookWELL Kitchen Soft Opening on Wednesday September 26th, 2018.

A luncheon with keynote address by Mark Benton and panel discussion, will be held Thursday September 27th at Fellowship Hall in Greensboro.

On Friday September 28th, a luncheon with keynote speaker Dr. Patrick Conway, panel discussion, and the Poe Center’s Annual Meeting, will be held at WakeMed’s Andrews Center in Raleigh. These events will highlight the importance of looking beyond the opioid epidemic to address issues of language, stigma, and advocacy.
