In partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services, the Poe Center provides high-quality education to prepare young people and their families to make healthy food choices within a limited budget and to choose physically active lifestyles consistent with the current Dietary Guidelines for Americans and MyPlate.
The Poe Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educate and empower North Carolina children, youth and their families to make choices that increase positive health behaviors. Let the Poe Center teach the children and teens at your school or community organization to lead healthier lives.
LEAP (Lead Empower Achieve with Poe) recognizes, strengthens & supports youth leaders, and highlights the importance of leadership in Wake County youth. Our program enhances leadership skills that empower youth to achieve positive outcomes at school, home & in the community.
