Health Educator

Born and raised in Lee County, NC, Quinn received a Master of Food and Nutrition Studies with an emphasis in community food security in Spring 2020.

Their nutrition education experience has included: volunteering with Extension teaching SNAP-Ed “Color Me Healthy” and “Steps To Health;” garden-based nutrition education with the Meredith Autism Program; and interactive storytime as a Teaching Artist at the NC Museum of Art Family Harvest Day 2018. Before moving to Raleigh for their graduate program, Quinn completed a Bachelor of Science in Sociocultural Anthropology at App State University. After college, Quinn worked at the App State Child Development Center. Their last hurrah in Boone was marrying their high school sweetheart, Bonny.

Outside of work, Quinn enjoys gardening, after-dinner strolls, and home-cooked meals. They can often be found sipping herbal tea or eating dark chocolate.
