Girl Talk 2: Daughter & Mother/ Trusted Adult Workshop
This workshop is best suited for girls in 6th thru 8th grade.
Girl Talk 2 for 6th-8th graders is a unique workshop designed for middle school aged girls and their parents.
Girl Talk is a recommended prerequisite for Girl Talk 2.
This interactive, two-hour workshop discusses the growth and development girls experience during puberty, the structure and function of the male and female reproductive systems, the menstrual cycle, fertilization, and conception. Internet safety, peer pressure, abstinence, and sexually transmitted diseases are also introduced.
The program has been designed with activities that facilitate and encourage open parent-child communication.
This program is for girls AND their parent/ trusted adult. Girls should not register individually.
Space is limited to 30 pairs (daughter and parent/ trusted adult)
