Drugs Uncovered: What Parents and Adults Need to Know
Drugs Uncovered: What Parents and Adults Need to Know is an interactive program designed for parents, caregivers, and adults who work with youth. This program introduces participants to:
• Current trends regarding alcohol, nicotine, cannabis, and other drugs.
• Health risks and other consequences associated with adolescent use.
• Techniques for building protective factors, including open communication and dialogue with adolescents.
This program is open to the public and is intended for educators, health professionals, parents, caregivers, other non-profit organizations, and any one else who serves youth in their personal or professional lives.
Refreshments and resources will be provided. Professional contact hours from North Carolina Addiction Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB) are available. This program is presented at no charge to attendees.
