The Poe Center has a variety of spaces available for rent that may meet your needs. Each indoor space has audio-visual capabilities. Explore available rooms below.
Atrium
The Poe Center’s Atrium is a centrally located open-concept space flanked by two hallways, which can be used for event functions, such as catering, break-out spaces, etc.
Excellent for: trainings, parties/events, conference-style events, information fairs
Maximum occupancy: 200 standing, 100 seated audience-style, 32 seated at tables
The Poe Center’s PlayWELL Park is a unique body-systems themed playground complete with a walking trail and two large shaded picnic areas. PlayWELL Park is wheelchair accessible.
Excellent for: outdoor birthday parties, retreats, family reunions, parent-child events
Size: 1.5 acres. Fenced with a security gate
Maximum occupancy: unlimited
GrowWELL Garden
The Poe Center’s GrowWELL Garden is a gated and fenced outdoor teaching garden complete with a wheelchair-accessible path, raised vegetable beds, and stadium-style seating. The adjacent meandering path leads you through a pollinator garden to the Poe Center’s very own beehives. The gorgeous garden mural and custom sweet-pea vine gate make the perfect backdrop for your small gathering.

Educational Theaters
The Poe Center offers five health-science themed education theaters. Each theater offers stadium-style seating. Seating in the Substance Use Prevention theater may be adapted for stadium-style or tables/ chairs.

CookWELL Kitchen
The CookWELL Kitchen is a unique teaching kitchen that has space and equipment for food preparation and distribution.
Excellent for: food distribution, preparation for events. Food preparation available with Poe Center staff supervision
Maximum occupancy: 16 people
Board Room
The Poe Center’s board room is a comfortable meeting space with a large table and plush seats. Whiteboards and large TV screens complete with Zoom capability are available.
Excellent for: small meetings, trainings

You’re welcome to bring outside food and beverages. Several trash and recycling receptacles are located throughout the park. Pets, alcohol, and tobacco are prohibited.
Yes, non-profit organizations qualify for rentals at a discounted rate. Please contact us for specific prices.
Yes. You are welcome to bring outside food and beverages. The Poe Center can also recommend catering services familiar with our facility.
- Inquire with the Scheduling/Operations Director if the date you’re interested in is available. Contact Amanda Bodenheimer at [email protected].
- Once the Scheduling/Operations Director confirms that the date is available, please fill out, sign, and email the rental agreement, emailing it to Amanda Bodenheimer at [email protected].
- The Scheduling/Operations Director will place your reservation and any equipment rentals on our schedule. Our Executive Director will review and sign the agreement, making it a binding contract. The signed agreement will be emailed back to you, along with an invoice for a non-refundable 50% deposit. The reservation deposit is due upon signing.
- One week prior to your reservation, Poe staff will email you confirming final details.
- You will receive an invoice for the balance due within seven (7) business days of your rental.
