Girl Talk: Mother/Trusted Adult & Daughter Workshop – Millis Regional Health Education Center

July 23, 2022 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Join us IN PERSON for the Poe Center’s popular Girl Talk workshop at

Millis Regional Health Education Center.

Girl Talk for 4th-7th graders addresses the timely topic of adolescent growth and development and the physical, social, and emotional changes that girls experience during puberty. Poe educators show off some of our 3-D exhibits, lead activities, and hold candid discussions to help parents and daughters explore a range of topics from the workings of the reproductive system to the menstrual cycle to feminine hygiene protection and more.

This program is for girls AND their caregivers. Girls should not register individually.

A recent participant of our Girl Talk workshop shares “It was such a comfortable, fun, and educational experience for us all. It was so refreshing to see my daughter speaking with such ease about a topic that historically girls and woman have struggled to be so open about. Thank you, and your team, for the amazing services you are providing to our community”.
