Vaping 101 Family Edition brings youth and parents/caregivers together to explore the latest research on nicotine addiction and its impact on the developing brain and body. Families will leave equipped with valuable tools and resources to support ongoing conversations.
Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.

This evidence-based workshop will inform participants of the impact trauma and chronic stress has on the nervous system. Through hands-on activities, discussions, participants will learn how to combat stress and restore or enhance resilience.
Girl Talk 2 for 6th-8th graders addresses the timely topic of adolescent growth and development and the physical, social, and emotional changes that girls experience during puberty. Girl Talk is a recommended prerequisite for Girl Talk 2.
Guy Talk will equip boys with accurate age-appropriate information developed to help with healthy growth and development. This event is specifically designed with activities that foster and encourage open parent/trusted adult-son communication.
“Homeschool Day” at the Poe Center is designed exclusively for homeschool students providing opportunities to interact with peers and other co-ops, while engaging in the Poe Center’s effective and immersive health-science programs.
