This bright and colorful flower is part of the mint family and is native to North America. Bees, butterflies, and other pollinators love it, which is why it’s called a “pollinator magnet.” It blooms in the spring and summer in lots of different colors. Long ago, Native Americans used this plant as medicine by ingesting Bee balm as a tea.
Fun Fact: Bee balm stems have a distinctive square shape. The stems are hollow inside.
