Yarrow is a flat-top, flowering plant in the aster family. Flowers bloom in the summer in yellow, white, pink, orange, or red. They have fern-like foliage with a spicy aroma after drying. This plant was used medicinally for wound-healing by chewing up the leaves and spitting them out on the cut, scrape, or bruise.
