Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.
This evidence-based workshop will inform participants of the impact trauma and chronic stress has on the nervous system. Through hands-on activities, discussions, participants will learn how to combat stress and restore or enhance resilience.
This engaging, skills-based program is designed for middle school students. It blends the evidence-based Community Resiliency Model ® (CRM) with youth-friendly activities and discussion. Participants will leave empowered to support their own well-being and the well-being of their peers.
