Adrenaline

« Back to Glossary Index

Adrenaline is a hormone made in the adrenal gland. It’s also known as epinephrine, and is released during stress for our “fight, flight or freeze” responses. When this happens, our eyes dilate, our lungs take in more oxygen, our hearts pump blood faster to our muscles and we are primed for action! (Cleveland Clinic, 2022)
